Jody Moraski
    Owner and Head Trainer
Jody Moraski started Greystone Stables in 1987 in Warwick, NY. She then moved to Middletown, NY. in 1992, GSS moved to its permanent home in New Hampton, NY.
  Jody began her riding career long before she started Greystone. She held a position as an assistant instructor and rider at SpringVale Farm in NJ, and Stonleigh-Burnham School in Greenfield, Massachusetts. 
  She took a short hiatus from the hunter/jumpers to explore other equestrian sports. While working at Vershire Farm in Vermont, she rode and trained event horses. Jody has also worked with Arabians at Dorian Farm in MA. In addition to this, she studied upper level dressage at Chick-a-tee Farms. 
Jody graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1987 with a Bachelors of Science. During her time in college she competed with great success on the Intercollegiate riding team. She qualified twice for Nationals, gaining one Championship there for her team. 
Jody's career has yielded a number of championships with her students, all the way from walk trot to the pony hunters and equitation divisions. 
She currently resides in New Hampton, NY with her husband and four children.

Michelle Watts
    Barn Manager and Trainer
Michelle has spent most of her life around horses. Her mother managed Fox Meadow Farm, so her young adolescent years were spent helping her mother with the barn duties. This gave her a great understanding of what was necessary for managing a farm.
Her riding career started at the age of 11. Riding with many local trainers, such as Annette Mohr, Billy Barr and Rita Ussher . She purchased her first horse, Morning Mist, at the age of 13. "Misty' as she was know was only 3 and Michelle trained her and competed with her at numerous horse shows. 
Her show career included many prestigous shows, such as the Connecticut PHA and HITS. Since she lived on the farm, she had many opportunities to work with all level of horses and riders.
Although, Michelle stopped her riding to raise a family, the passion for horses was still in her blood and she returned to them. Her daughter, Courtney, shares her passion and has pursued riding as her sport.
Michelle currently resides at the farm with her two children.

Danielle Moraski
    Assistant Trainer
Being Jody's daughter, Danielle has been around horses 24/7 for her whole life. They have shaped her into the rider she is today. She has shown in Lead Line to the Big Eq and everything in between.  She has been to many finals and has excelled. She got a 4th and 9th on Twilight's Last Gleaming in 2009. She got 7th at Zone 2 Finals in 2011. She got 5th in the Smartpak medal out of 86 in 2013 on Island Paradise with a 3rd out of 47 in the warm up.
Danielle has interned for Emil Spadone down in Ocala for 2 weeks in the winter of 2012. She went down again in 2013 and interned for a few different people and rode with Lisa O'Neil while she was down there.
She competed on the IHSA team for the first two years and was 6th at Zones and 3rd in the Cacchione cup her sophomore year.She graduated from SUNY Binghamton with a degree in Human Development and minor in Graphic Design.
She has joined the GSS team in 2017 full time and works with Jody, training the students and is our head rider.

        Orlando Ramirez                           Ed Kolb
    Barn Maintenance and Horse Care
Orlando has been working with horses for most of his life. He is a wonderful asset to our team. His knowledge helps us relax and know that he is taking care of our equine partners while we are away.

Ed joined our team in 2017 and has learned really quickly. He is a hard worker and helps everything get done for the horses.
