As Jody's daughter, Dani was born and raised in a horse farm. She developed her riding throughout her junior career showing all the way through to the big eq. She trained a variety of horses and ponies who achieved great success in their careers. During her junior years, she not only rode for Greystone, but was a working student for a variety of barns including, Don Stewart's and Emil Spadone's. Dani continued to ride while she attended Binghamton University for Human Development with a minor in Education and Graphic Design. She rode for the Binghamton University IHSA Team in open fences and open flat, moving to zones. Post college, she competed in the alumni division, making it to zones both years and moving onto nationals her second year. After she graduated college, she moved to Alabama and worked as an assistant trainer for Fox Lake Farm. There, she honed in on her showing while traveling the "A" circuit. She showed numerous horses and trained clients up to the 1.20 and the 3'6". After, she was freelance riding and traveling to Ocala, Fl for the winters riding client horses and breaking babies. In 2023, she came back in New Hampton, NY and was ready to share her skills with the students of Greystone.
Jody Moraski started Greystone Stables in 1987 in Warwick, NY. She then moved to Middletown, NY. in 1992, GSS moved to its permanent home in New Hampton, NY. Jody began her riding career long before she started Greystone. She held a position as an assistant instructor and rider at SpringVale Farm in NJ, and Stonleigh-Burnham School in Greenfield, Massachusetts. She took a short hiatus from the hunter/jumpers to explore other equestrian sports. While working at Vershire Farm in Vermont, she rode and trained event horses. Jody has also worked with Arabians at Dorian Farm in MA. In addition to this, she studied upper level dressage at Chick-a-tee Farms. Jody graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1987 with a Bachelors of Science. During her time in college she competed with great success on the Intercollegiate riding team. She qualified twice for Nationals, gaining one Championship there for her team. Jody's career has yielded a number of championships with her students, all the way from walk trot to the pony hunters and equitation divisions. She has since retired from the day to day activities of owning a farm, she still buys horses for the Greystone students to enjoy and help them develop their skills.
Netta Crombie grew up in Western Massachusetts where she started riding when she was five years old. She was always eager to do the hard work if it meant she got to spend more time around the horses. She would walk two miles to the barn after school every day, with two backpacks weighing her down, just to muck stalls and groom horses and ride if she got the opportunity. Netta studied Business Management with a specialization in Equine Business at Cazenovia College, where she also had the honor of being the student barn manager. After she graduated, she had the honor of taking one of their school horses, Peanut, home, who now resides at Greystone with her. This being the first opportunity she had to have my own horse, she took the time to train her from the ground up. She had dedicated herself to gleaning every bit of information, opinion, and tradition, from each experience that she had - and she wanted her horse to show that. Peanut taught her what it means to not only own a horse, but to build a partnership. That message is what she want to pass on to her students. She would love to see everyone go on to win ribbons and enjoy horse showing, but ultimately she wants to make them dedicated horse people.
